Harvey Reid recently introduced the ground-breaking Liberty FLIP Model 43 capo, that can clamp 3 or 4 inner strings on most guitars. It now has a "sister" capo, the matching Model 65. [It has been unavailable for a long time but will be back in stock eventually, but likely not from Amazon again.] This new member of the partial capo family is also reversible, and functions as 2 capos in one: 1) a full capo for steel-string (radius fingerboard) guitars, and 2) a shortened 5-string partial capo. (see photo gallery to see the flip side...) The shorter side of the capo also works as a full and partial capo for banjo, baritone ukulele and larger mandolins. We'll email people when they are available.
The FLIP capos are the lightest weight, easiest to reach over, most versatile, least noticeable and most attractive guitar capos. (See photo gallery) If you use a Model 43 partial capo, you'll want to have a matching full capo, especially for the ground-breaking Liberty Guitar method, that led to the development of these exciting new capos. All Liberty capos attach from either side of the fingerboard, and can handle wider fingerboards, thin and thick necks.
• Strong, ultra-lightweight aluminum, will never wear out.
• Hard rubber "foot" has good tone and durability.
• Low profile is easy to reach over and around
• Attractive and barely noticeable on the guitar
• Fits easily in your pocket.
• Young children can operate it easily, since it has no strong springs or snap mechanisms, and a low gear ratio.
• Stores on the headstock if needed.
If you have never bought a 5-string partial capo before, this is the first one you should get, and if you are a partial capo user already, you'll want to immediately add this to your collection.
